Official Twilight Singers Street Team

Birdman/One Little Indian have started a Twilight Singers street team. I’ve talked with Ginger, the team leader and it seems like it could be pretty cool. They’re giving away free TS stuff as an incentive for joining. It’s good to see the labels putting this together to promote the band, tour, and album. Check it out and get some free swag. TS Dates Postponed

No word as to why; but the Seattle and/or Portland Twilight Singers dates have been postponed. Update – The shows were postponed due to logistics. The west coast dates will now be at the END of the tour, rather than the beginning. Don’t worry, Seattle and Portland WILL get shows. Just later, rather than sooner.

TS Release Announced in NY Times

TWILIGHT SINGERS A name behind which the Afghan Whigs’ singer Greg Dulli makes whatever kinds of albums he wants to make. “Blackberry Belle” is slightly grandiose pomp-rock, with Mr. Dulli’s whispery voice feather-dusting the songs. Like, say, Tom Petty, but along entirely different music-business models, Mr. Dulli is finally a guy who simply knows how to make music that feels good in the ear. Oct. 14. Birdman. Twilight Australian Article

Unfortunately full of inaccuracies, Undercover Media, Australia has published a brief article on the new TS album. The one interesting bit is the mention of the album being released by Shock Music Group in November. Shock is Australia’s largest independent distributor (according to their website, anyway). The Twilight Singers have not been added to Shock’s roster online; but if the article is correct, that means good things for Australian fans.

New EP – Radio Promo

One Little Indian, the Twilight Singers’ UK label has released ‘The Killer Teenage Wristband,’ a radio only promo, featuring three tracks from the upcoming Blackberry Belle. You can hear ‘Teenage Wristband’ at KEXP’s archive: Wed. September 3, 7:19 AM (I actually got it at 8:18; but the playlist says 7:19).

Thanks from TS

I wanted to pass the following note along to those who made it out to the Twilight Singers shows last weekend. “Just want to say a big thanks to all the folks that came out to see us play last week, they really made us feel loved. We debuted a number of songs off the new album, but we threw in some of our favorites from the first CD too. The band is really excited about the upcoming tour, we’ll be making a lot of…

Billboard Article has an article on the new album. “It is pretty diverse,” says Dulli. “There is some rock on there. The album begins with a waltz and ends with a waltz. And in between, it is f**kin’ ‘Revolver’.” Billboard Article Archived at SK
