Almost There…Almost

I am so glad that I live in an age where, across the country, I can get live updates of the Twilight Singers show right to my phone. It took a lot of restraint not to jet off to Cincinnati for the Southgate show (like last time). As much as I wanted to see Marcy sing “My Curse,” it was almost as good getting your camera phone and IM updates.

Homecoming Tonight

Greg Dulli’s Twilight Singers pull into Cincinnati tonight. Last night’s show in Columbus featured a brief duet with Marcy Mays (of “My Curse” and Scrawl fame). Extra cover bits included Abba’s “Dancing Queen,” and a revival of “Time of the Season” by the Zombies. Expect more than a few surprises tonight at the Southgate House. CD101 Broadcast

The Twilight Singers performed an acoustic set on The Big Room (or, as Greg suggested, “The Bigger Than Your Office Room”) for CD101 in Columbus today. The set: Papillon Teenage Wristband Hyperballad (Bjork) Dulli also answered a few questions sent in from listeners. The questions and abbreviated answers were: Jill in Fairfield – What do you get the most pleasure of, being a musician? “It’s perk city” Anthony – What’s the band’s position on downloading and bottlegging? “If you want some apples, go up and…

Martina on “Too Tough To Die”

Over at Martina Topley-Bird’s web forums, a user tipped her off that The Twilight Singers would be covering “Too Tough to Die” on their new LP. Martina’s response: *gobsmacked* That’s so cool. I loved the cover of Band of Gold . I’m so chuffed. The song is amazing live. I can’t wait to hear the studio take. — Thanks to Rob for the tip
