austintour.jpgNight #2 in Texas brings the band to Austin. For longtime Dulli fans, the significance of this night is not easily overlooked.

Check the forums for meetup info. Travel safe. If you meet a guy named Tater, kick his ass.

This is the first time Dulli has been back to Austin, since he was seriously injured in an assult during the Whigs' 1965 tour in 1998.

Austin Show
This by far had to be the best show the Twilight Singers have played to date. Before the show Greg kept saying how good it was to be in Austin after 5 years and he hoped he wouldn’t get hit over the head again by a stupid redneck. Anyway. The Parish was packed and the show rocked. He brought Joey (roadie) on stage to perform the Sat Night Live sketch with Will Ferrell and Christopher Walken. You know the one with the cow bell and blue oyster cult. Anyway Greg kept saying, “Joey I need more cow bell.”—See the sketch—too funny!

Set List
Esta Noche
Teenage Wristband
Twilight Kid
That Bird Sings
Cloud Bursting—Mixed in a little—If I were going
Decatur Street
A Love Supreme
Please Don’t Stay
Annie Mae
Martin Eden
King Only
Black is the Color of My True Love’s Hair
Encore 1 (Greg on the keyboard)
Black Love
The Killer
Stevie Nicks
Encore 2
Hey Ya
Faded—Purple Rain Intro

After the show Greg was feeling sick. He barely had enough energy to sign my friend Rene’s tits. He said he wasn’t sure if he could make it to Dallas…Which ended up being the best of all
