Via the band’s MySpace Blog

Due to scheduling conflicts, we regret to announce that The Gutter Twins will be postponing/cancelling some of their upcoming U.S. dates in July. The seven shows from July 24th Baltimore to August 1st Detroit will not be taking place at this time. The band sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused.

A new set of U.S. dates, following their performance at this years Voodoo Music Festival in New Orleans in late October will be announced shortly. The band hopes to make up as many of the dates as possible during that time.

The shows in Los Angeles July 10th, Seattle July 12th and at Lollapalooza Aug 2nd will take place as scheduled.

You can just imagine them standing up at the microphone, with a scrunched-up face, and letting rip. They produce the kind of unique, gravelly baritone that makes you want to stick them in a preserving jar and put them in a museum.

16 Afghan Whigs: Greg Dulli was always destined for semi-greatness. In another era, with Andrew Loog Oldham promoting him, he mightve been huge. Instead, he had to settle for mostly hated. He makes my fan club look like a gentlemens auxiliary. But no matter many slings people take at this poor chap, he comes back stronger, angrier and more seductive. Black Love still sounds like a film noir where nobody survives. But they must because he went on to the Twilight Singers and the Gutter Twins with Mark Lanegan, where he continues to entertain and irritate with maximum efficiency. But stop hitting on my sister.

Mark Lanegan came in at #5.
