Although I haven’t written about it yet, Greg Dulli’s Twilight Singers are ruling my butterflies with She Loves You, their covers record. Ever wondered what Mary J Blige’s “Real Love”, or perhaps Bjork’s “Hyperballad” would sound like channeled through the sex and red wine fog of Dulli’s manic frontal lobe?

“Too Tough to Die,” the cover of the Martina Topley-Bird song, is available now as a download on iTunes for 99 cents. “Too Tough” is the first single from the upcoming covers album She Loves You.

A reader tip pointed out that WOXY.com, the reborn 97x in Cincinnati, has aired new tracks from The Twilight Singers. Claiming to be the only station in the country with a copy of She Loves You (pre-order at Amazon), they played the Björk cover “Hyperballad.”
