Added SK Goodness
Two new additions to the site today. The first is a mailing list. You can sign up using the form on the left side of the home page. Be cool, we’re not going to sell your email addresses, or bomb you with spam. With new Twilight activities afoot, this list will give you the inside track to items posted on Summer’s Kiss. The list is send-only, so it’s not a discussion group. Just a notification of relevant Whigs, Twilight, or SK news and events.
We’ll also be introducing give-away contests in the coming weeks. We’re talking good stuff like bootlegs, press kits, SK gear, and other cool swag from our collection. Only those in the mailing list will be eligible.
Finally, we’ve also introduced a banner campaign. If you have a website and would like to link to SK, feel free to use the image on the left side of the home page, in the Promote section. We ask that you please download the image and host it on your own site, as opposed to linking directly and eating up our bandwidth. When you link, use the site’s base URL (http://www.summerskiss.com/”) and be sure to use an alt tag and title tag. Google likes those a lot. An example of the code would be:
‹img src=”yourdomain.com/skboxlogo.gif” alt=”Summer’s Kiss” title=”Summer’s Kiss: A Tribute to the Afghan Whigs”›
Thanks!

Is there an Afghan Whigs mailing list?
Yes. The Congregation mailing list was the source of the majority of the information found on this site. The size of the list fluctuates; but it features dozens of regular posters and many lurkers. To subscribe, enter your address at the list’s sign-up page.
There is also a send-only Summerskiss.com mailing list. Subscribe or edit your account.
Where Can I Get Twilight Singers Info?
Summerskiss.com features some Twilight Singers information. A more comprehensive archive of Twilight’s first album can be found at The Bird Sings. The Bird Sings closed its doors on July 9, 2003.
Visit the official Twilight Singers site at: thetwilightsingers.com. There is also a Twilight Singers Online Team.
Scott Ford: Twilight Bassist
Scott Ford, bassist for L.A. supergroup Camp Freddy (featuring Matt Sorum, Dave Navarro, and Billy Morrison), is the new bassman for the Twilight Singers.
From the Camp Freddy site:
“Scott Ford is finishing the new Twilight Singers album and is is rehearsals for a tour that begins later this year.”
For more on Scott, he’s doing a solo show at Hotel in Hollywood on May 17th.
