the jersey curse. when i was in london a young lady from scotland asked where in the states i was from. after saying "new jersey", her response was "ah... bon jovi!". it sounded funnier with her thick accent.

now the knee-jerk reaction is: "new jersey" - "ahh... oh yeah... the sopranos"

could be worse, i suppose
