SLY Vinyl – Impressions
If you’re a collector, this is a no-brainer. You have to have this album. It features the original cover photograph (don’t worry, the sticker is only on the cellophane) and an unreleased recording of “Her Majesty” by the Beatles. The vinyl is heavy, pristine and sounds great. The back cover is the “later” photo from the CD and the inside gatefold photo is of the mirrored shadows. The grayscale paper sleeve has the photo of the desert tree, and the flip side has unreleased photographs (pictured).
Unfortunately, and despite its heavy cardboard mailer, my copy arrived pretty banged up. Worn, crimped corners and a severe fold in the top left corner. So, if you have a chance to pick one up in person, I would recommend it.
And yes, at the beginning of “Too Tough To Die,” in the subtle backmasked vocals, Greg is just saying “Too Tough To Die.” No Judas Priest here.
