The LA Times has an article detailing the work of Ted Demme’s widow, Amanda Scheer Demme. Of special note is the documentary on her husband, “In Search of Ted Demme.” As a subtext, it features Demme’s friends hanging out with his ashes (Natalie Portman takes them ice skating, Colin Quinn plays basketball with them).
As fans of the Twilight Singers know, Greg Dulli was friends with Demme and “Blackberry Belle” is in many ways a direct response to the director’s death. From the article:
Greg Dulli had nearly completed an album with the Twilight Singers when Ted died. He ultimately scrapped it and started over. “The day my friend died, that record just meant nothing,” he said.
It is unknown if Dulli will appear in the documentary. He is not listed in the current credits at IMDB. No release date has been set.
