Road Update

Sitting in La Guardia, waiting on our flight back to Atlanta. The sold-out NYC show was great, and l-o-n-g. It was great to meet so many members of the forum at the pre-show meetup.

The meetup tonight is at the venue, Smith’s Olde bar. Stop by and say ‘Hi.’ Updates will be scattered until the weekend, and I finish up my vacation. Enjoy the shows and check the forum for setlists and info.

I must say that the first hour and 46 minutes is among the best i’ve seen, then (even though i love everything greg does, he got a bit too drunk and a bit too long… sorry.

I thought the show was great. He wasn’t too drunk for me. .. I met the drummer Bob who said he was going to give the bartenders a twighlight singers shirt and was like Angus Young on the drums (if that is possible) but maybe it is .. I also liked the backup singer / lead guitarist and thought he had a vocal presence of his own as well as some hot licks. Greg was outstanding and is very much a legend. How does he do that with his voice?

I had to get my lady friend home before the end of the show…any chance anyone recorded the night’s performance? I have a Boston 2000 show I’d be glad to swap. Not sure if I’ll be able to see Dulli for awhile….must get some TS/AW live stuff please!

Please excuse the lateness of this Post Bowery Ballroom Post but that night looms still in the shadows of my day. How often do you get to spend an evening witnessing/experiencing a man in his thoxi (Greek word meaning glory)? At 1:30 in the morning I tore my exhausted self away – barely – but that’s understandable – after a Greg Dulli Ball who really wants to go back to the brightness of the mundane world? f harry sto
