Vote for eMusic’s Best of 2006

If you’re an eMusic customer (and if you aren’t, you should be), head on over to vote for the best albums of 2006. You can only vote for albums on eMusic; but that shouldn’t prevent you from choosing 5 standout albums from 2006.

    The new Hold Steady album is one of my favorites as well. I didn’t care for them at all when I saw them open for the Twilight Singers in Brooklyn in 2003, but Boys and Girls in America is such a good record!

    If you like the Hold Steady, be sure to check out Craig Finn’s previous band, Lifter Puller. They put out three incredible records while they were located here in the Twin Cities. LFTR PLLR is a lot darker and punchy-er than the Hold Steady. Dig it!
