I really wish there was a forum where we could have some discussions but since there isn’t…..

I found a review at drownedinsound.com about Powder Burns and the reviewer, Nick Cowen, was talking about Bonnie Brae and made this comment: “According to the rumor mill, the lead-off single from the new Twilight Singers’ platter was supposed to be Bonnie Brae. Its probably better not to speculate on why this didn’t happen; besides, if you’ve heard said song, and you know the geography around MacArthur Park in Los Angeles, you can draw your own conclusions.”

Can someone explain this to me? I don’t know MacArthur Park and am curious as to what Cowen is insinuating.

very interesting, bishi– Did some poking around on google, found this:

hmm… (I find it hard to believe GD would tackle the whole scientology thing– but, an interesting piece none the less.)

But, yes, if somebody knows, tell us.

MacArthur Park is just a really, really dodgy part of LA near downtown, and the street Bonnie Brae runs through it. It’s a place you don’t wanna be unless you have very specific business, if you know what I mean. (Any “Six Feet Under” fans saw it on the episode where David gets kidnapped.)
