Little Girl Blue (Rodgers/Hart) from the musical Jumbo (1935; movie version 1962), originally sung by Gloria Grafton (movie version sung by Doris Day). The Whigs might have used Diana Ross’ version as a template for their version.
Compilation CD included with issue 8 of the British magazine Volume, with the CD fixed to the inside back cover. The booklet includes an interview with Greg Dulli and a brief album discography with commentary. Little Girl Blue is listed as a “new recording”. The CD also contains song by Autechre, Curve, Underworld, The Wonder Stuff, B12, The Butthole Surfers, The Higher Intelligence Agency, Juno Reactor, James, Global Communication, Sun Electric, The Fall, Submarine, Elastica, Come and Sultans Of Ping FC. All tracks previously unreleased. Little Girl Blue was re-released on the UK Debonair single and included on the Volume release Sharks Patrol These Waters – The Best Of Volume, Part Two (2CD), released in the late 90’s “for all those who’d missed out on the original Volumes”.
