Staggering Statistics Noms + More
From the latest edition of the Staggering Statistics Newsletter:
The Cincinnati Entertainment Awards (CEA) Nominations are out and your very own Staggering Statistics have been nominated in two categories: New Artist of the Year and Best Alternative/Indie Band. The New Artist category will be determined by the CEA nominating committee but if you’re feeling kind, please vote for us online in the Best Alternative/ Indie category. Voting ends on October 24th. Here’s the link to vote: http://citybeat.com/cea/
Our new full-length (13 tracks) LP, All of this and more… will be out early in 2006 on Cincinnati’s Shake-It Records (http://www.shakeitrecords.com/). Visit their web site, join their mailing list and you’ll be able to get a copy as soon as they’re available (which may be sooner than 2006. shhh..) Selected tracks online at MySpace and SonicBids.
There’s a new video on our website at http://www.staggeringstatistics.com It’s a live version of the song New Vocation from our show in Columbus w/ the Violent Femmes. We’re still working with Flat Broke Productions on the DVD-EP, which will feature live performances, studio clips, behind-the-scenes drama and hilarious bloopers! You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. You’ll run the gamut of human emotion! I think the furnace is leaking…
We also have an EP in the works with 75orLess Records in Rhode Island. The Pixelated Ones & Zeros EP will feature 6 new songs and a cool handmade cover. You can hear selected tracks on our MySpace and SonicBids pages. 75orLess started as a record review site and our EP will be one of their first offerings as a label. Release date: late 2005. Online at: http://www.75orless.com/
